    Mansfield High School Announces Homecoming Court and Homecoming Celebration Activities

    The student body of Mansfield High School has selected the following young ladies as their representatives on the 2019 Homecoming Court:

    Freshmen Maids – LaTykeyunna Sicks, Xaria Turner

    Sophomore Maids – Ayana Knuckles, Sha’Korryah Wyatt

    Junior Maids – Kennedy Booker, T’Mia Handy, Sha’Kenedi Hensley, Alicia Williams

    Senior Maids – LaStylar Gilbert, Talaya Jones, Arianna Lewis, Cherish Ross, Kalis Sims, Kaliyah Wilson


    The identity of the Football Sweetheart and Homecoming Queen will be kept secret until the Homecoming Game Presentation on Friday night, November 1st.


    Homecoming Week will take place Monday, Oct. 28th through Friday, Nov. 1st.  The theme for this year’s homecoming is “Knock Out The Knights.”


    Rumble On The Lott

    Homecoming Week will kick off with a community pep rally at Shop-A-Lott on Monday, Oct. 28th from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.  All community members are welcome!!


    Homecoming Court Coronation

    The coronation ceremony will take place on Thursday, Oct. 31st at 7:00 p.m. in the Mansfield High School gymnasium.  All guests should park in the parking lots on the Kings Highway entrances to the school and enter through the Commons Area doors.  No entrance will be available on the Highway 84 side of the school. Admission will be $1 with children three years old and younger free of charge.  Spectator seating will be available beginning at 6:00 p.m.


    Honored Alumni Classes

    All alumni are welcome to attend any homecoming activities.  The classes that will be specifically recognized this year are the classes of 1990, 2000, and 2010.  Each of these classes should be prepared to have a spokesperson speak for less than 1 minute at the pep rally.  Please email Nakia Graham at to give the name and contact information of the designated class speaker.  Please note, Mansfield High School alumni are not exempt from purchasing admission tickets for the coronation or the homecoming football game.


    Homecoming Pep Rally

    The homecoming pep rally will begin at 12:45 on Friday, November 1st.  ALL guests should park on the Highway 84 side of the school and enter through the main doors.  The Kings Highway gates and parking lots will be closed to the public during this time. Please note that no outside food or drinks will be allowed in the school building.  Please plan to arrive no earlier than 12:15 for the pep rally.


    Homecoming Parade

    The Homecoming Parade will leave Mansfield High School at 2:00 p.m. through the Kings Highway gates, making a right on Kings Highway, crossing Highway 171 and continuing on McEnery Street to Highway 84.  The parade will take a left on Highway 84 and then a right on Polk Street. The parade route will end at N. Jefferson street. All parade participants will then proceed to MES/MMS on Highway 84 and drive through the campus for the Little Wolverines.  


    Parade line up will begin at 1:30 for any outside groups – community groups, alumni, etc.  Please bring your vehicle, already decorated, to the Kings Highway entrance at 1:30. If you would like to participate in the parade, please come into the school office and complete an entry form.  We will need a copy of the drivers’ license and auto insurance for the driver. Please note that NO marching groups will be in the parade – riders only. The deadline for parade entry forms is Wednesday, October 30th at 3:00 p.m.


    Homecoming Game

    The Mansfield Wolverines will take on the North Webster Knights at Washington-Taylor-Rodgers Stadium on Friday, Nov. 1st at 7:00 p.m.  The presentation of the homecoming court will occur during halftime with the announcement of the Football Sweetheart and the Homecoming Queen.

    Backpack Policy

    Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, DeSoto Parish Schools are requiring all book bags and backpacks to be mesh or clear.  The new requirement is part of on-going measures to ensure student safety.
